Winter Swingtime is a community-focused weekend festival in Lausanne dedicated to African-American Swing-era jazz dances and their cultural context. The programme combines Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz classes, exploration classes, a Get Together, a discussion or conference, a film screening and three evenings of live music. Friday and Saturday parties are held at Salle des Fêtes, Casino de Montbenon, while the Sunday evening takes place at Studio Swingtime. Classes are hosted across Studio Swingtime, Coco Gardel, Sportunity, Annexe 36 and Salle des Fêtes. The festival is organized by the non-profit association Swingtime Lausanne and supports the Black Lindy Hoppers Fund through complimentary passes and participant donations.
