Swingin' by the Sound is a weekend of collegiate shag classes, world-class live jazz, and exciting social dancing on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula of the Pacific Northwest from April 17-19, 2026. The event features intensive collegiate shag classes for beginner and intermediate/advanced levels at the American Legion and Brigid's Loft, live music from excellent bands (Josh Roberts Quartet, Jonathan Doyle Swingtet), and engaging social dances with competitions. Friday includes a Taster Class, Saturday features competition finals and dancing, and Sunday concludes with an awards ceremony and final social dance.
