Swima-Workshop Spring 2026 is a Charleston and Lindy Hop intensive workshop organized by Swingmachine Bern (SWIMA), featuring internationally acclaimed teacher Jo Hoffberg. The weekend consists of a one-day Charleston intensive (4 hours): Saturday for Advanced dancers, Sunday for Intermediate dancers. On Friday evening, an optional Open Level Solo Jazz class (2h) is available and can be booked independently. Jo Hoffberg has been teaching Lindy Hop, Charleston, Vernacular Jazz, Aerials and Competition Prep worldwide since 2007 across 35 countries on 5 continents, and has been inducted into multiple Swing Dance Halls of Fame. Venues: Saturday & Sunday classes at Aula des Progr (Waisenhausplatz 30, 1st floor, Bern); Friday Solo Jazz at Tanzschule Mattstetter (Sandrainstrasse 12, Bern). Prices: Charleston intensive day – 120 CHF (reduced 80 CHF for low-income/Swingmachine Bern members); Solo Jazz Friday – 60 CHF (reduced 40 CHF). On Saturday evening the BEswingt monthly swing dance social takes place at the same venue (crash course 20:30–21:30, concert & DJ from 22:00; entrance not included in workshop fee).
