STORY SWING FESTIVAL | Grenoble Swing
Story Swing Festival is a brand new multi-dance swing weekend in Grenoble, themed around the legendary Orient Express and designed to bring together Lindy Hop, Balboa, Blues and Solo Jazz communities in an immersive railway-station atmosphere over two days and three nights of parties and classes. Dancers from all over Europe will travel through a 'reinvented grand station' setting filled with streams of travellers, rolling suitcases, crossing conversations, bursts of laughter and spontaneous improvisations, recreating the bustling feel of an old-time train hub while celebrating social dancing. The program features international teachers from countries along the historic Orient Express line, with 16 teachers in total across four tracks, allowing participants to register for one, two or three dance styles with level options adapted to their experience. Two exceptional live orchestras, The Rhythm Outlines and The Schwings Band, will provide music for the main evening parties, tailoring their sets to suit all swing styles and giving dancers a rich musical journey across the weekend. The event keeps the spirit and scenography tradition of the former Grenoble Swing Dance Festival (GSDF), promising elaborate decor, a dedicated show component and a warm, surprising and immersive atmosphere for all swing dancers. Registration opens online on March 28 at 20:00, with further information and booking details available via the official Grenoble Swing festival page and partner event platforms.
