Welcome to the Shaggin’ Utrecht Exchange. We’ve put together a program with the best Utrecht has to offer. 3 fast feet parties (Balboa friendly), dancing in the streets, and a tea dance, all with live music. During the weekend you can take workshops from local shag teachers and in the evening you can enjoy performances from the bands: The Mokum Stompers, Swing aan de Werf, The Swing Rhythm Club and Pierre et les Optimistes. On Saturday, you can explore the city, sit along the Oudegracht, or dance in the streets to live music from Swing aan de Werf. Looking for a challenge? Climb the Dom Tower and reward yourself with a spectacular view. You can also hop on a canal boat and see the city from a different perspective. Never danced Collegiate Shag before? Take the beginners’ workshop at TivoliVredenburg to learn the basic steps and show off your first moves at the Tea Dance. There’s something for everyone. Come to Utrecht and join us on an adventure.
