A whole weekend of Balboa taught by the Balboa icons David Rehm and Kate Hedin, with live music from the Jim Wynn Swingtet, one of the best Balboa bands in the UK, in the charming village of Islip just outside Oxford. The weekend offers 6 hours of Balboa classes for intermediate and above dancers, requiring good knowledge of Balboa fundamentals such as uphold, downhold, lolly kicks, inside and outside turns, out-and-ins, paddles, crab walks and throw-outs, danced confidently to music between 160 and 200 bpm. The event includes three socials: a Friday evening warm-up class and social dance, a Saturday evening dance with the Jim Wynn Swingtet playing live, and a Sunday afternoon tea dance. David Rehm is one of the top Balboa dancers and instructors in the world, founder of the Experiment residential intensive, while Kate Hedin holds numerous championship titles in the modern Balboa era and is a leading expert on Jewel McGowan style.
