The Collegiate Shag Weekend is a workshop event in Dresden from October 9 to 11, 2026, hosted by Jam Circle at the Savoy Club. Collegiate Shag is a fast, dynamic and fun partner dance, and this weekend offers 8 hours of classes across four tracks. Saturday's Track 1+2 covers fundamentals for beginners and dancers wanting to build a feel for movement and music, working on basics, footwork and simple figures. Sunday's Track 3+4 expands the beginner repertoire with partnered figures and musicality, recommended for those who already have Track 1 or prior Shag experience. Tracks can be booked individually or combined freely, with a 20% discount for completing all four. The weekend also includes two parties: Friday's Sugar Foot Stomp from 21:00 to 01:00 and Sunday's Swingin Sundays tea dance from 16:00 to 20:00, both with music by DJ Double.O.
