Swing in Utrecht is very excited to bring you the very first edition of Dom City Stomp – our very own Solo Jazz festival! Explore the connection between Jazz and movement, the rhythms and shapes that connect us to the music and let us express our individuality. Classes will range from foundational material to choreos to collaborative practice. Brilliant teachers! We are bringing you international teachers who will share their approach to Solo Jazz dancing. Lindy Hop, Solo Jazz and other Swing dances will be celebrated together on the same dancefloors as part of the shared culture. We have a welcome party on Friday night, plus live music parties on Saturday and Sunday. --What is Solo Jazz?-- Solo Jazz is the cultural and historical stem of swing dancing (including Lindy Hop) and of many other dance forms originating in the Afro-American tradition.
