The Bluesfestival Burgruine Falkenstein 2026 is a three-day open-air blues festival held at the historic castle ruins above the wine village of Falkenstein in the Weinviertel region of Lower Austria, approx. 55 km north of Vienna near the Czech border. Running from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 June 2026 (16:00–14:00 CEST), the festival program is structured as follows: Friday features the Austrian Blues Challenge (national competition sending the winner to the European Blues Challenge 2027, with a Wolf Records International record deal as prize); Saturday includes a Frühschoppen morning session, blues workshops (Learning The Blues for instrumentalists, Playing The Blues open Q&A with the band, and Dancing The Blues introduced by the Vienna blues dance scene), and an evening concert program; Sunday closes with a Frühschoppen and a final Blues Jam Session. Confirmed artists include Jörg Danielsen & the fabulous Vienna Blues Association (AT), The Southern Cockroaches (RO), Natascha Flamisch Blues Trio with 'Remembering Georgia White' (Natascha Flamisch – voc, Joe Pinkl – piano, Reinhard Dlapa – drums), Thomas Beham Trio, ScheinBar, and Screamin'' Slim. More acts to be announced. Free camping is available in front of the castle (no electricity). Catering by Genusswerkstatt Siebenschläfer. Children under 14 admitted free. Tickets: 3-day advance €79, box office €85; day tickets: Fri €30, Sat €50, Sun €20; VIP (1 person) €380, VIP (2 persons) €650. The venue is reachable via A5 motorway, exit Poysdorf Nord.
