Barcelona Balboa Festival 2026 is an international Balboa weekend taking place from November 6 to 8 in the vibrant Poblenou district of Barcelona. Organized by BCNswing association in collaboration with Gloria Garcia, this non-profit festival offers a full weekend of social dancing with a strong focus on authentic connection and non-competitive atmosphere. All evening parties take place at the historic Casino l'Aliança del Poblenou, a stunning theater venue with spacious wooden dancefloor, quality sound system and atmospheric setting near Bogatell Beach. The festival features multiple class tracks focusing on social dancing, honest leading and following rather than choreographed figures, with classes divided into groups and offered in English and Spanish. Schedule includes Friday Welcome Party from 8:00 PM, Saturday full-day classes from 10:00 AM to 6:45 PM plus cultural sightseeing tour and Main Party from 8:00 PM, and Sunday morning classes at Casino and Fundació Carulla followed by optional social lunch at Restaurant L'Aliança and Goodbye Party from 6:00 PM to midnight. The festival maintains a balanced leader-follower ratio, enforces a clear code of conduct under 'Enjoy with respect' motto promoting safe, inclusive environment with zero tolerance for violent, sexist, racist or exclusionary behavior. Teachers, bands and detailed schedules to be announced. Previous editions featured world-class instructors including Sylvia Sykes, Nick Williams, Jacob Wiger, Shani Brown, Gloria Garcia and Gio Olla, with live performances by bands like Pepa Swing Band and top swing music selectors.
